This was my first year visiting the famous cranberry festival in Fort Langley and boy was it the perfect way to spend Thanksgiving weekend Saturday.
We started our day by wandering the crowded Main Street, lined by vendors selling products varying from cranberry-inspired food to fall floral arrangements.
Tomorrow’s the designated baking day as we bought 4 pounds of fresh cranberries! Any recipes I should try?
We then stopped for lunch at Wendel’s, which is a MUST when in Fort Langley.
My mom, grandma and I all ordered the special: a grilled brie and mozzarella sandwich with roasted red peppers and a pear spread, served on cranberry sourdough, with a side salad. Delicious doesn’t do this meal justice!
I also got the “Autumn Mocha”: a white chocolate mocha with brown sugar and cinnamon. Surprisingly it wasn’t overly sweet – just right! They also served the water with floating cranberries. So festive!
We then decided to take a stroll down the river.
This was the cutest!
And what about this adorable fall display?
I’m so grateful to have spent this beautiful fall day in the quaint streets of Fort Langley!
How do you enjoy spending autumn days?
