To quote Ella: “I may go as far as to say this is the world’s best porridge.” It makes for a satisfying breakfast, which keeps you feeling nourished and energetic throughout the day!
This weekend, I topped my breakfast bowl off with fresh strawberries, raspberries and blackberries, shredded coconut, slivered almonds and natural peanut butter. Ella has often raved about nut butter on porridge and after trying it myself, I am never going back! The best part: you only need to add a spoonful for a punch of flavour and kick of protein.
Instead of regular oats, I used steel-cut oats. Steel-cut oats take longer to cook, but are fabulous at keeping in the fridge for breakfast leftovers! As they are less processed compared to regular oats, they also have a higher nutritional value.
