Bon Appetit: Naked Heart

Instagram is my main source for inspiration and when I saw the “Naked Cakes” by Annie Campbell from Après Fête, I knew that I had to make one!  So simplistically beautiful, they show the raw cake and create a piece of art.

This time I opted for a vanilla cake and a chocolate buttercream frosting – so delicious!  I’m excited to experiment with more fun ideas…

  

Can you tell I enjoyed making it?  I must admit I have an obsession with photographing food. 🙂

We also picked up this thoughtful sign at Skitch… The tulips I received for Valentine’s Day paired perfectly!
